COX'S BAZAR, Dec 3, 2023 (BSS) - A couple drowned while taking bath at Laboni 
Point of Cox's Bazar beach on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abul Kashem Bakul, hailed from Bonpara in 
Baraigram Upazila in Natore district and his wife Sabikun Nahar Shuma. 

They went to Cox's Bazar on Saturday and drowned when they were bathing at 
the beach this morning.

Sea Safe Life Guard Supervisor Osman Goni said the matter was brought to the 
attention of the lifeguards and beach attendants present at the scene. They 
promptly rescued both of them and took them to Cox's Bazar District Sadar 
Hospital, where the duty doctors declared them dead at around 11:30 am.
