RAJUK launches drive to remove illegal installations

DHAKA, Jan 11, 2017 (BSS) - Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) today launched drives in the city's Mirpur area to remove illegal guesthouses, restaurants and hotels from the residential areas and illegal ramps from footpaths.

A mobile court of Rajuk zone-3, led by executive magistrate Khandaker Oliur Rahman, conducted a drive at PrerBagh residential area and adjacent areas of 60 feet road at Mirpur in the city.

During the drive, the mobile court team demolished four shops while asked to Dutch Bangla bank to remove their First Track Booth within 15 days. Several shops were removed from the area.

Besides, electricity disconnected from 19 shops as well as building a factory violating the RAJUK's map of holding no-3/B.

Besides, portions of a restaurant were demolished as it was being constructed illegally.
