No alternative to Sheikh Hasina for peace, development: Nasim

RANGPUR, April 21, 2017 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has said that there is no alternative to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government for continuous peace and more development in the country.

"If Sheikh Hasina led government would not come to power again, the people would again see the triumph of militancy like the series bomb explosion throughout the country like that happened on August 17 in 2005," he said.

Mohammad Nasim, also Presidium Member of Awami League (AL), said this at a ceremony arranged for renaming Dinajpur Medical College as M Abdur Rahim Medical College and launching the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Dinajpur as the chief guest yesterday.

While addressing the occasion, Mohammad Nasim called upon the common people to again vote for AL as there is no alternative to Sheikh Hasina and AL for building a peaceful middle-income nation by 2021 and developed country by 2041.

With Principal of M Abdur Rahim Medical College Professor Dr Kamrul Hasan in the chair, Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad ASM Feroz, Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad, Director of the M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital Dr Sarwar Jahan and Deputy Commissioner Meer Khairul Alam, addressed the ceremony, among others.
