Journalist leaders pay homage to Bangabandhu in Tungipara

GOPALGANJ, April 21, 2017 (BSS) - Journalist leaders today paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mausoleum at Tungipara here.

Prime Minister's Media Adviser and the Daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury paid homage to Bangabandhu followed by Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul.

Later, they offered Fateha there for eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members who were assassinated on August 15, 1975.

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, BFUJ Secretary General Omar Faruque, Jatiya Press Club General Secretary Farida Yasmin, BSS former MD Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, BFUJ Treasurer Madhusudan Mondal and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) Secretary Sohel Haider Chowdhury, among others, were present on the occasion.
