BSS journalist Ajit's wife Shipra Mondol passes away

DHAKA, May 19, 2017 (BSS) - Shipra Mondol, wife of Ajit Kumar Sarker, a senior journalist of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died at a hospital in Kolkata Thursday afternoon.

She was 55.

She left behind husband, a son, well wishers and host of relatives.

Family sources said Shipra, managing director of Tathyaseba Barta Sangstha (TSB), breathed her last at 1:30 pm (local time) while undergoing treatment at Rabindranath Tagore Hospital in the capital of Indian state of West Bengal.

She was suffering from kidney related diseases for long time.

Shipra was taken to India last month for better treatment. She underwent a surgical operation only four days before her death.

Her funeral was held at Kewratola crematorium in Kolkata this (Friday) afternoon.
