BNP Vision 2030 smacks of intellectual bankruptcy: Hasan

DHAKA, May 19, 2017 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today said BNP's Vision 2030 reveals the party's intellectual bankruptcy as they stole the vision from AL.

"BNP has made a misdeed by stealing Awami League's vision . . . many of the promises in the BNP's vision have already been taken by Awami League government," he said.

The Awami League spokesperson was addressing a discussion as chief guest at Jatiya Press Club auditorium marking the 37th Homecoming Day of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote organized the discussion with its adviser Chittaranjan Das in the chair.

Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro artiste Monoranjan Ghosal, Bangabandhu
Sangskritik Jote Vice-president Sheikh Jahangir Alam and General Secretary Arun Sarker Rana, among others, addressed the function.

Mahmud added: "A leader (Sheikh Hasina) is standing beside flood affected people in haor region by riding rickshaw van, on the other hand, another leader (BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia) is showing vision to the nation sitting at a five-star hotel.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has restored democracy in the country and has been struggling for establishing people's rights for 36 years.

Assassination attempts against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were carried out on many occasions, he added.
