MPO teachers urged to inform minister about harassments

DHAKA, July 17, 2017 (BSS)- Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday urged the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) facilitated teachers to inform the minister or Director General (DG) of the Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) directly if they face any kind of harassment or corruption.

"Steps should be taken in resolving the problems after identifying the hindrances and failures," said the minister at a meeting on overall activities of DSHE at Shikkha Bhaban in the city.

Nahid urged the officials to help continue the ongoing successes of the directorate and provide quality service to the service recipients.

He also urged them to make the directorate's activities more dynamic and transparent.

The minister stressed on inventing new strategies in delivering service of the directorate and directed the authorities concerned to appoint qualified persons into the posts of project director after evaluating performance of incumbent project directors.

DSHE DG Professor S M Wahiduzzaman presided over the meeting, attended by all level officers of the directorate.

The activities of the directorates were discussed in details at the meeting.
