Former info secretary Mahbubur Rahman passes away

DHAKA, July 17, 2017 (BSS) - Former Information Secretary Dr Mahbubur Rahman today passed away at a city hospital due to cardiac arrest at the age of 64.

He was a civil servant of 79 batch, said an official release here.

Dr Rahman served the ministries of the Information, the Jute and Textile and Post and the Post and Telecommunication in different capacities, the release added.

He, also known as prominent writer and researcher, left behind wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
