Law minister to discuss judges' service rules with AD

DHAKA, Oct 12, 2017 (BSS) - Law Minister Anisul Huq yesterday said he will discuss with Appellate Division judges the gazette on service rules and conduct of lower court judges.

He hoped that the gazette issue would be resolved before November 5, when the apex court is scheduled to hear the matter.

Anisul expressed the optimism while talking to newsmen after a meeting with Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah in the latter's Supreme Court chamber.

The meeting lasted around 45 minutes in the afternoon.

"We have discussed the matter, we will sit again. We and all the judges of the Appellate Division will solve this together. God willing, from the discussion we had, I think we will be able to reach a decision on this before the scheduled date," Anisul said.
