Shahjahan pays tribute to Bangabandhu's mazar at Tungipara

DHAKA, Jan 5, 2018 (BSS) - The newly sworn-in Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shajahan Kamal today paid rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mazar at Tungipara in Gopalgonj.

He also offered Fathea and took part in a special munajat there, a press release said.

Kamal said he had fought for the country's independence in the great War of Liberation in 1971 inspired by the charismatic leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Raahman.

"Currently, I am working for the country's development under the dynamic leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he said.

Kamal said that he would put his efforts to raise the country's civil aviation sector as well as tourism industry to a new height before the next general election.

He also sought cooperation of all stakeholders of the civil aviation and tourism sector to bring dynamism in the sector.
