Jabbar assures BTRC of cooperating for its development

DHAKA, Jan 10, 2018 (BSS) - Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar today assured the telecom regulator of extending his full cooperation regarding any decision for the development of the sector.

The newly appointed minister made the assurance during his maiden visit to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

"I came here not to make meddling, rather provide cooperation for the development of the sector," added Jabbar.

He also ensured the regulator that he wouldn't make any unethical request.

The minister urged the officials of BRTC to discharge their duties with honesty and sincerity.

Earlier BTRC Chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmood welcomed the minister with flower bouquet. BTRC officials and employees were present.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Imran Ahmed, MP was present.

BTRC Chairman said the telecommunication and ICT sectors would be benefited after getting Mustafa Jabbar as the guardian.
