Kamal urges people to support PM for building a hunger-poverty free country

DHAKA Jan 11, 2018 (BSS) - Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today urged the people to rally round Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a hunger and poverty free country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041.

"Bangladesh is a development role model of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina . . . extend support to the prime minister in building a hunger free developed country," he told a discussion organized as part of Development Fair at Comilla Town Hall, said an official handout.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair across the country through a video conferencing from her official residence Ganobhaban this morning.

Kamal said the development activities, including the government's plans and programmes will have to be presented before the general people during the fair.

He asked the participating government, semi-government and private organizations to make the people aware about their development activities and services.

He said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken up 10 special initiatives to build a hunger-poverty free Bangladesh as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Special presentation will be on these 10 initiatives during the fair, he added.
