WTO team meets DU VC

DHAKA, March 18, 2017 (BSS) - A three-member delegation of World Trade Organization (WTO) paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at his office on Friday.

Executive Director of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) of WTO Ratnakar Odhikari led the delegation, said a DU press release today.

Other team members were EIF Coordinator Hang TT Tran and Asia Pacific Regional Portfolio Manager of United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) R Manivannan.

Director of WTO cell of Bangladesh government Md Hafizur Rahman and Professor of DU Finance Department Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury were present at the meeting, among others.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to business education and education management at Dhaka University. They underscored the need for further improving the existing relationship of cooperation between DU and WTO.

Professor Arefin briefed the delegation on DU academic activities and thanked the delegation members for visiting the university, the release added.
