DUTA for education friendly environment on campus

DHAKA, March 18, 2017 (BSS) - Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) today expressed concern over the recent turmoil on the campus and urged the authorities concerned to maintain education friendly atmosphere.

The DUTA made the call in a statement signed by its President Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and Secretary Professor Dr Md Rahmat Ullah.

In the statement, the DUTA condemned the recent unrest in DU campus over seat allocation at Bijoy Ekattar Hall and strike observed by Home Economics College students in demand for upgrading their college as a DU institute.

The DUTA also asked all authorities concerned to behave in a responsible manner for maintaining stability and congenial atmosphere on the campuses to consolidate the achievements in education sector in the recent years.
