RUET to implement Taka 340-cr uplift project

RAJSHAHI, March 21, 2017 (BSS)- Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is going to implement a Taka 340-crore project aiming to well decorate and development the whole campus and its education and research.

Under the mega project, three academic buildings with an administrative building, institute building, a female and male dormitory will be constructed.

Besides, the extension work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall up to 5th storied, a teacher's quarter and dormitory, an officer's quarter, medical centre and vice-chancellor's residence will be completed under the project.

Of the total 13 high-rise buildings, 11 will be ten-storied each. Besides, various types of modern equipment will be installed in laboratories for proper implementation of the teachers and students practical and research activities.

The government recently approved the project so that the university could play effective role towards improving the country's socio-economic condition, creating scopes of engineering and technological higher education and generating skilled human resources.

Vice-chancellor Prof. Rafiqul Alam Beg hoped that it would be possible to build RUET as the most modern engineering and technological university of the country through the implementation of this mega project.
