CU suspends six students

CHITTAGONG, May 16, 2017 (BSS) - The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) expelled six students for different terms for their undisciplined activities on the campus.

The suspension order has been recently taken in a meeting of the Board of Residence, Health and Disciplinary Committee.

Confirming the suspension, CU Proctor Mohammad Ali Asgar Chowdhury said Vice-Chancellor suspended the students for different terms as they were found involved in indiscipline activities on the campus.

The expelled students expelled are-Walidur Rahman of Finance Department Tasnim Sikdar of English Department, Shahriar Chowdhury Imon of Music Department, Shahraj Chowdhury of History Department, Mahmud Hasan of Philosophy Department and Ziaur Haque Majumdar of Anthropology Department.

Of them, Walidur was permanently suspended for attacking a doctor of the CU Medical Centre on March 10 while the others were suspended for six months each for attacking their fellow students, CU proctor added.
