"Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was an alumnus of Dhaka University, a successful sports organiser and he never abused power," Kalimullah said.

Kalimullah made these observations at a discussion organised by BRUR unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Cafeteria premises on the campus on Saturday afternoon marking the 68th birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal as the chief guest.

The BRUR unit of BCL chalked out the day-long programme, including placing of wreaths, discussion, milad and doa mahfils, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal on the campus.

Presided over by president of BRUR unit of BCL Abu Monnaf Al Kibria Tushar, its General Secretary Kamrul Hassan Nobel, among others, addressed the brief discussion.

A large number BCL activists and common students of the university attended the programme to celebrate the 68th birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal, also a former executive member of the central committee of BCL.
