DU vice-chancellor for clean campus

DHAKA, Nov 11, 2017 (BSS) - Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman today called upon all to keep the university campus clean to make it a model institution in terms of cleanliness, greenery and beauty.

Professor Akhtaruzzaman made the call while inaugurating a two-month long cleaning campaign on the campus here, said a DU press release.

BD Clean, a voluntary organization, launched the cleaning campaign in the university area as part of its 'Dhaka Clean' programme, the release added.

No 26 Ward Councilor of Dhaka South City Corporation Hasibur Rahman Manik and DU Estate Manager Supriya Saha were present at the inaugural function, among others.

According to the release, BD Clean started its journey on June 3, 2016 with 6000 volunteers aimed at conducting cleaning campaign across the country.
