No nation can prosper without technical education: Keramat Ali

RANGPUR, April 8, 2018 (BSS) - State Minister for Technical and Madrasa Education Kazi Keramat Ali, at two separate functions, here today no nation can prosper without spreading technical education.

"Education is the backbone of the nation. Technical education can resolve the unemployment problem. So the present government has taken massive programmes for spreading vocational and technical education," he said.

He was addressing a rally of students and guardians held on Mahiganj Afanullah High School ground and Rangpur divisional conference of vocational teachers at Tazhat Zamindar Bari in the city as the chief guest.

Keramat Ali said Bangladesh has been marching forward successfully under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

"The country has witnessed an impressive development in the education sector and the unemployment problem is also being resolved gradually," he said.

The state minister said the present government is pledge-bound to expand technical and vocational education for creating more skilled human resources to take the nation forward.

With Chairman of the Managing Committee of Mahiganj Afanullah High School Abdur Rahman Babu in the chair, Habibur Rahman, MP, Chief Engineer of the Department of Education Engineering Dewan Mohammad Hanzala, Teacher of Begum Rokeya University Dr Tuhin Wadud, Headmaster of the school Mozammel Hossain, addressed the rally, among others.

Chaired by Convener of the Rangpur Divisional Vocational Teachers Association Zakiul Islam, the conference was addressed, among others, by General Secretary Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh Md Shamsur Rahman and Rangpur Zila parisahd Chairman Advocate Chhafia Khanom.
