Maritime ports asked to hoist signal no. 3

DHAKA, March 10, 2017 (BSS)- The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no. 3 as deep convection continues over the North Bay.

Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh under the influence of trough of low lying over the North Bay, said a Met office release here tonight.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain near the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, it added.
