Met office forecasts rain

DHAKA, Aug 4, 2017 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places across the country in next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions and at a few places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places in the country," said a Met office press release here today.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged in the country, the release added.

Country's highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.5 degree Celsius at Chandpur while today's minimum temperature 23.8 degree Celsius at Rangamati.

Country's highest rainfall was recorded 123 mm in Dhaka in the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today.

The sun sets at 6:40 pm today and rises at 5:29 am tomorrow in the capital.
