Met office forecasts light to moderate rain

DHAKA, Aug 9, 2017 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places over the country in next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a BMD release here.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.3 degree Celsius at Rajshahi station in Rajshahi and today's minimum temperature 24.5 degree Celsius at Sitakunda station in Chittagong.

The sun sets today at 6.36 pm and rises at 5.32 am tomorrow in the capital.
