Met office forecasts light to moderate rain

DHAKA, Sep 7, 2017 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at places over the country in next 24 hours ending at 9am tomorrow, according to a Met office release issued here this morning.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka and Barisal and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," said the release.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.4 degree Celsius at Bhola in Barisal division and today's minimum temperature 23.9 degree Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet division.

The country's highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 96 millimeters (mm) at Srimangal in Sylhet division.

The sun sets at 6.11pm today and rises at 5.42am tomorrow in the capital city.
