Met office forecasts rain, thundershowers

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2017 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at places over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chittagong and Barisal divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in 24 hours commencing at 9 am today," said a Met office press release.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature was recorded 35.2 degree Celsius yesterday at Jessore in Khulna division and today's minimum temperature 23.0 degree Celsius at Rangamati in Chittagong division.

The country's highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded 108 millimeters (mm) at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 6:04 pm today and rises at 5:45 am tomorrow in the capital city.
