Light to moderate rain likely

DHAKA, Oct 5, 2017 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at places over the country in the next 24 hours.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and at one or two places over Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am today," said a met office release here.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.5 degree celsius at Tangail in Dhaka division and today's minimum temperature 24.0 degree celsius at Rangamati and Feni in Chittagong division.

Country's highest rainfall in last twenty-four hours ending at 6 am today was recorded 28 millimeters (mm) at Teknaf in Chittagong division.

The sun sets at 5:42 pm today and rises at 5:52 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
