Weather may remain dry over the country

DHAKA, Oct 11, 2017 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country in the next 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.

Day temperature may rise slightly over the country and night temperature may fall slightly over northwestern part of Bangladesh and may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country, said a met office press release here today.

Maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.0 degree celsius at Tangail in Dhaka, Rangamati in Chittagong and Srimangal in Sylhet divisions and today's minimum temperature 24.0 degree celsius at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi division.

Country's highest rainfall in last twenty-four hours ending at 6 am today was recorded 55 millimeters (mm) at Rajshahi.

The sun sets at 5:36 pm today and rises at 5:55 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
