Myanmar police charge Reuters reporters under Official Secrets Act

YANGON, Jan 10, 2018 (BSS/AFP) - Myanmar police formally filed charges Wednesday against two Reuters reporters accused of breaching the Official Secrets Act, a judge said, an offence that carries up to 14 years in prison.

A police officer "filed the case under the state secrets (Official Secrets) act section 3.1(c)," a judge told a Yangon court, despite global calls for their release.
