GAIBANDHA, Jan 2, 2017 (BSS) - A month-long anti narcotics drive and campaign began in the district on Sunday with a call to build up a drug free healthy and prosperous Bangladesh.
To make the drive and the campaign successful, the district office of Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has chalked out the elaborate programmes in the month of January.
The programmes include holding discussion and orientation meeting against narcotics at the institutions through active participation of the students, teachers and guardians, bringing out rally, distributing leaflets to people, and screening short film against drugs at important places.
The programme also include arranging motivational meeting and campaign against narcotics to the trainees at different training institutes, conducting anti drug drives by the departmental officials and employees and mobile court by the executive magistrates.
Assistant director of the district office of DNC M. Abdul Mazid said necessary measures have been taken to conduct the drive and the campaign in the district this month following the directions of the higher authorities concerned.
