Fire at Ctg garments unit

CHITTAGONG, Jan 10, 2017 (BSS)-Huge goods and raw materials of a garments factory were gutted in a devastating fire at 'Boromia Fashion Garments' of Amin Market in city's business hub Khatunganj here this morning.

Fire brigade sources said the fire broke out around 5 am on Tuesday and gutted different types of finished goods including shirts and pants worth about Tk 10 lakh.

Five fire fighting units from city's Nandankanon and Lama bazaar brought the flame under control around 6.10 am, said Bishu Das, Agrabad fire service control room.

The fire originated from an electric short-circuit, the sources added.
