Rangpur AL, BCL demand execution of Bangabandhu's fugitive killers

RANGPUR, Aug 13, 2017 (BSS) - Leaders of Awami League (AL) and its
associate organisations, including Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), at a discussion here have demanded bringing back of absconding killers of
Bangabandhu and their execution.

They were addressing the discussion organised by district unit of BCL at district AL office yesterday evening in observance of the National Mourning Day-2017 and 42nd Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Earlier, the BCL leaders placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, hoisted national and party flags at half-mast and black flag, wore black badges and arranged milad and doa mahfil at the same venue in the afternoon.

President of district unit of BCL Mehedee Hassan Rony presided over the discussion moderated by its General Secretary Rakibul Hassan Kanon. Joint general secretary of district AL and former BCL leader Professor Mazed Ali Babul addressed the discussion as chief guest.

Organising Secretary Motahar Hossain Mandal Mowla, Office Secretary Tauhidur Brahman Tutul, vice-president of district BCL Shariful Islam, Organising Secretary Abu Hossain, among others, spoke.

Terming assassination of Bangabandhu as part of deep-rooted conspiracies, the speakers called for turning the mourn into energy to build a prosperous 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamt by Bangabandhu under leadership of his able daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Professor Mazed Ali Babul called upon the government for bringing back all absconding killers of Bangabandhu for their execution to bring an end to the conspiracies being hatched since the killing of Bangabandhu.
