Australian security manager calls on IGP

DHAKA, May 16, 2017 (BSS) - The visiting Australian security manager Sean Carrol on Tuesday made a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque at police headquarters.

During his three-day visit, Sean elaborately discussed the entire security and related issues with the IGP for the forthcoming Australian cricket team's visit in Bangladesh and expressed satisfaction over the safety measures taken by the Bangladesh Police during the tour.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Metropolitan Police, Special Branch and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) concerned officials were present at the meeting. Later, he exchanged views with the Police Headquarters' DIG (Operations) Barrister Mahbubur Rahman.

Australia cricket team is expected to tour Bangladesh on August 18. They will play two Tests in Dhaka and Chittagong.
