Khulna dominate as Robi hits ton on day 1 in NCL

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2017 (BSS)- Opener Robiul Islam Robi scored a magnificent ton while Khulna Division dominated their first day as they scored 307 for 4 against Barisal Division in the fifth round tier-1 four-day match of Walton Smart Fridge 19th National Cricket League (NCL) held on Friday at Shaheed Kamruzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.

Robi, who finally baked to the pavilion being retire hurt, contributed 108 off 196 balls with 17 boundaries and also shared a 110-run opening stand with Anamul Haque (44) and again 84 run for the third wicket stand with Tushar Imran (51), after Khulna opted to bat first.

Middle order batsman Ziaur Rahman was remained unbeaten with a well
composed knock of 52-run along with Nahidul Islam as the stumps were drawn for the day.
