MANIKGANJ, Oct 11, 2023 (BSS) - The government is distributing incentives among 13,350 small and marginal farmers in all seven upazilas of the district for cultivating Robi crops during the current season.

 
Each of the 1,850 farmers will get 2 kg of maize seeds, 20 kg of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and 10 kg of muriate of potash (MOP) fertilizer for maize cultivation in one bigha of land, each of the 9,000 farmers will get one kg of mustard seed, 10 kg DAP and 10 kg MOP fertilizer for cultivating mustard in one bigha of land, each of the 300 farmers will get 20 kg seed, 10 kg DAP and 10 kg MOP fertilizer for cultivating wheat on the same amount of land.

Besides, each of the 240 farmers will get one kg seed, 10 kg of DAP and 10 kg MOP fertilizer for sunflower cultivation in one bigha of land, each of the 520 farmers will get one kg seed, 10 kg DAP and 10 kg MOP fertilizer for cultivating onion in one bigha of land, each of the 880 farmers will get 10 kg seed, 10 kg DAP and 5 kg MOP fertilizer for cultivating groundnut on the same amount of land, each of the 160 farmers will get 5 kg seed, 10 kg DAP and 5 kg MOP for cultivation mug and each of the 400 farmers will get 8 kg seed 10 kg DAP and 5 kg MOP fertilizer for Kheshari cultivation on the same amount of land.
 
Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Abu Mohammad Enyet Ullah said the farmers are getting maximum production as the government ensures the distribution of quality seeds and fertilizers among them in due time.
