GAIBANDHA, OCT 26, 2023 (BSS)-As many as 25 farmers of Sadar and Fulchhari upazila here have received vegetable seed and other materials including spray machines from a voluntary organization to cultivate the varieties during the winter season.

Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK), a non-government organization, has distributed the vegetable seed and agri inputs to the farmers of Sadar and Fulchhari upazilas of the district through a function at its at Nashratpur area here this morning.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sadar Upazila Mahmud Al- Hasan and Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Shahadat Hossain attended the seed and agri inputs distribution function as chief and special guests respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers urged the farmers to cultivate the varieties timely and properly and to take care of it like their own children to get good output against the varieties in a bid to meet the family demand and earn economic profit as well.

Chairmen of Boali Union Parishad (UP), Malibari UP and Kamarjani UP and the officials of the GUK were present on the occasion.

Project coordinator Joya Prosad said earlier the farmers were given need based training on farming vegetable and pest management properly at the initiatives of the organization.
