GAIBANDHA, Sept 13, 2024 (BSS) - As many as 210 small and marginal farmers of Sudarganj upazila of the district got seeds and fertilizer free of cost for cultivating black gram (Mashkalai) during the current Kharip-2 season.

Upazila Agriculture Office distributed the seeds and fertilizer among the farmers yesterday at the Upazila Farmers' Training centre.

Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said each farmer received 5 kg of seed and 15 kg of chemical fertilizer.

Similar programmes are being conducted in other upazilas of the district.
