CHAPAINAWABGANJ, November 11, 2022 (BSS)-The district office of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) has taken up a massive plan to distribute seeds  among 39,420 marginal farmers.

The department will distribute the seeds of wheat, maize, mustard, peanut, onion, mung beans, lentils and grass pea and fertilizer among farmers of the district free of cost for the current Robi season.

According to the district office of DAE, 8,100 farmers in sadar upazila, 10,875 farmers in Shibganj upazila, 8,160 farmers in Gomostapur upazila, 9,745 farmers in Nachole upazila and 2,580 farmers in Bholahat upazila would get the incentives.

For cultivating wheat farmers would get 20 kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and 10 kgs of MOP, for maize farmers would get two kgs of seed, 20 kgs of DAP and 10 kgs of MOP, for mustard they would get one kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and 10 kgs of MOP, for ground nut they would get 10 kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and five kgs of MOP, for winter onion they would get one kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and 10 kgs of MOP, for mung bean they would get five kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and five kgs of MOP, for lentils they would get five kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and five kgs of MOP and for grass pea they would get eight kgs of seed, 10 kgs of DAP and five kg of MOP, the sources added.
