MAGURA, Dec 12, 2022 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) today distributed seeds and fertilizers free of cost as agricultural incentives among 7,500 small and marginal farmers during the current Rabi season in Sadar upazila here.

Upazila Administration and Department of Agriculture Extension jointly organized the distribution function held at Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office premises this afternoon.

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tarif-ul-Hasan presided over the function.

Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) of Magura Sufi Md. Rafikuzzaman, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abu Nasir Bablu, Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Humayun Kabir, Sadar Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Sheikh Rezaul Islam, among others, were present.

DAE office sources said that of the total, 4500 farmers were given 5-kg of Ufshi Boro paddy seeds, 10-kg of DAP and 10-kg of MOP fertilizers each and 2-kg of hybrid Boro seeds each to 3,000 farmers for their one bigha of land.
