DHAKA, Dec 28, 2022 (BSS) - PRAN Dairy Limited, a sister concern of PRAN Group, received the top taxpayer award for FY22.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) honored the PRAN Dairy in the food and allied category.

NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem handed over the award to Choudhury Atiur Rasul, director (accounts) of PRAN-RFL Group at a program held at the Officers' Club in the capital today.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and Senior Secretary of the Finance Division Fatima Yasmin were present at the programme as the chief guest and special guest respectively, said a press release.

Choudhury Atiur Rasul said, "Each and every entity of PRAN-RFL group is playing an important role in the development of the country through paying VAT and tax regularly. We're getting recognition from the government every year for paying VAT and tax that inspire us."

The NBR this time honored some 141 top taxpayers. Of the recipients, 76 in the individual category, 53 companies and 12 in other categories received the award for paying highest amount of taxes for the fiscal year of 2021-22.
