DHAKA, Oct 18, 2023 (BSS) - The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance held its 12th meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban today.

Presided over by committee member M Abdus Shahid, the meeting was attended, among others, by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury, M Abdul Wadud, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Ahmed Firoz Kabir, Rumana Ali and Rana Mohammad Sohel.

The meeting was apprised about the working paper of the 11th meeting, said a press release.

The release said the meeting discussed in detail on the Secure Transactions of (Moveable Assets) Bill 2023 and thus on providing report on the Bill.

It also recommended for placing the Bill at Jatiya Sangsad at an amended version after making proper scrutiny, necessary additions and amendments.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder, Financial Institutions Division Secretary and other concerned officials of the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Parliament Secretariat attended the meeting.
