DHAKA, Dec 06, 2023 (BSS)-Country's both the bourses - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) today witnessed an upward trend like earlier as investors continued their buying spree on large-cap issues amid optimism.
DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 2.90 points to settle at 6,250.47. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 0.59 point to finish at 1,359.64. But, the DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, closed the day at 0.70 point down at 2,112.82.
Turnover, the crucial indicator of the market, increased to Taka 5,289.57 million on the country's premier bourse which was Taka 4,600.02 million at the previous session of the week.
Of the 335 issues traded, 90 advanced, 63 declined and 182 remained unchanged on the DSE trading floor.
CENTRALPHL was the most-traded stock, followed by ADVENT, FUWANGFOOD, KPPL and BDTHAI.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also edged higher with the CSE All Share Price Index - CASPI- rising 6.97 points to settle at 18,530.28.
Of the issues traded, 29 declined, 52 advanced and 111 issues remained unchanged on the CSE trading floor.
