Faruk visits CAAB, Biman, asks to increase revenue  

 
DHAKA, Jan 22, 2024 (BSS) – Muhammad Faruk Khan today paid his maiden visits to CAAB and Biman Bangladesh Airlines after assuming office as civil aviation and tourism minister for the second term and asked both the bodies to increase revenue alongside ensuring services.  
   
While visiting Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), the minister asked the officials to increase the capacity of the aviation regulatory body so that it would be able to bear its development projects by own earning. 

The country’s all aviation related operations need to be digitized to ensure hassle free services to all, Khan said at the meeting with the high officials at the CAAB headquarters in the capital, a press release said.

The minister laid emphasis on maintaining the country's airport security as per international regulation.

Later, Khan interacted with the high officials of Biman at Balaka, the headquarters of the national flag carrier. 
  
During the meeting, the minister directed to take necessary steps to ensure on time flight schedule, delivery luggage at shortest possible time and increase in-flight service. 
He also instructed to increase public relations activities of the state-owned carrier to increase the confidence level of its valued passengers. 

The minister said Biman needs to continue its planned endeavor to keep its profit trajectory.      

Civil aviation and tourism secretary Md. Mokammel Hossain was also present, among others.
