DHAKA, March 16, 2024 (BSS) - Senior Vice President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md Amin Helaly today urged the insurance companies to simplify further the livelihood of people through bringing in sustainable and innovative products and services in the insurance market.
“Through this, both the consumers and insurance companies will be benefited immensely,” he said.
The FBCCI senior vice president made the request during a meeting with the representatives of a renowned Japanese insurance company held at the FBCCI office in the capital’s Motijheel area today, said a press release.
FBCCI directors Hafez Harun Ur Rashid, M Niaz Ali Chisty, Syed Mohammad Bakhtiar, general secretary M Alamgir and other business leaders were present.
Noting that the living standard of the country's people is increasing day by day in line with the growing size of the country’s economy, Helaly said, “If we can bring newer and innovative insurance items and services in the market, then people will be more encouraged to take insurance schemes.”
Helaly also opined that it is possible to make sustainable development of the country’s insurance sector through local and foreign joint initiative.
Warranty Incorporation, Japan, founder and CEO Yusuk Sono made a power-point presentation on a business model for the insurance sector at the meeting.
