LONDON, Aug 12, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Europe's main stock markets rose at the open on Monday after mixed performances in Asia and last week's volatility for global equities.

London's FTSE 100 index gained 0.5 percent to 8,210.61 points.

In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index was up 0.4 percent at 7,297.50 points and Frankfurt's DAX rose 0.4 percent to 17,795.93.
