DHAKA, Oct 6, 2024 (BSS) - Agricultural Marketing Company Ltd. (AMCL-PRAN), a listed company on the stock exchange, received the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) award for its outstanding corporate governance practices as well as transparency and accountability in overall management. 

ICSB presented the award to AMCL-PRAN for 2023 in 'Food and Allied' category at the event held at a city hotel yesterday evening.

Uzma Chowdhury, Director (Corporate Finance) of PRAN-RFL Group, received the crest and certificate from Finance and Commerce Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, said a press release today.

Uzma Chowdhury said, "The private sector plays vital role in the development of our country's economy. As a key stockholder in the sector, PRAN-RFL is committed to contributing to the economy by maintaining transparency and accountability. Awards like this will inspire us to continue our efforts." 

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) yesterday awarded 41 companies in 14 different categories for their outstanding corporate governance practices as well as transparency and accountability in overall management. 

Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Md. Selim Uddin, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, Secretary, Internal Resources Division and Chairman, National Board of Revenue, were present as special guests at the event.
