DHAKA, Oct 28, 2024 (BSS) – Members of the Anti-discrimination student movement are selling vegetables and essential commodities at fair prices in different districts across the country, aiming to break syndicates and lessen the burden on common people.
The initiatives have been taken to sell the products due to soaring prices of daily necessities in the markets, said Abdul Hannan Masud, chief organiser of the Anti-discrimination student movement, adding that the students will continue selling vegetables until the monopoly of market syndicate is eradicated.
He said the students are monitoring markets through coordination with the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs).
