DHAKA, Oct 28, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Army-led joint forces have conducted a raid at a godown of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) at Nawabganj market under Lalbagh police station and arrested four businessmen with huge illegally stored products.

The arrestees were businessmen: Shah Alam and Arif Hossain, said a release of Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR) this evening.

During the drive, the members of the army and Lalbagh police also recovered 650 bottles of soybean oil and 1340 kgs of pulses from the TCB godown.

The estimated value of the seized goods is about Tk 3.29 lakh, the release said.

 The arrested were handed over to Lalbagh police station today for taking legal action against them.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Army is working with impartiality and professionalism across the country with the aim of preventing extrajudicial activities and maintaining the rule of law, as well as controlling the overall security and law and order situation of public property and important government facilities, the ISPR release also said.
