DHAKA, Nov 5, 2024 (BSS) – The National Board of Revenue (NBR) today urged all to submit Value Added Tax (VAT) returns and coefficient declaration through online instead of in papers.
“NBR has come to know that VAT officials are seeking hard copy after submission of online returns and coefficient declaration. This is not legal. After filling online returns and coefficient declaration, this is no need to submit hard copy,” said a NBR press release.
Moreover, there is no provision to preserve VAT returns, coefficient declaration and treasury challan by the VAT officer.
If anyone wants to submit in paper to the local VAT office (VAT circle office), he or she has to receive from the receiving and sending branch of the circle office.
Additionally, returns can also be sent by post.
