BASIS president vows to protect collective interests

DHAKA, Nov 09, 2024 (BSS) – BASIS President M Rashidul Hasan today vowed to protect and retain the industry’s collective interests, as he welcomed new members at an orientation ceremony at its auditorium here today.

He said BASIS would remain as an empowering force in the tech community, expressing the executive body’s deep commitment and unwavering loyalty to uphold the needs of its members as a top priority. 
 
At the interactive and engaging event dubbed as “Welcome to BASIS: New Member Orientation Programme”, the president also outlined their objectives, reaffirming BASIS’s mission to lead the way for accelerated development in the information technology sector, said a press release.

A total 70 leading IT companies attended in this vibrant programme. 

The orientation programme aimed to connect new members to larger BASIS network, discuss about shared goals and strengthen unified vision for the growth and advancement of the IT industry.

In the welcome address, Senior Vice President Md. Mostafizur Rahaman Sohel encouraged the new members to actively participate in the BASIS community, emphasizing the transformative potential they bring to the technology landscape. 

He highlighted how BASIS is dedicated to cultivating an environment where every member can thrive, innovate, and contribute to Bangladesh’s digital evolution.

Vice President (Finance) M Asif Rahman and Director Biplob Ghosh Rahul made presentation on BASIS’s journey, purpose, and offerings.
