DHAKA, Nov 19, 2024 (BSS) – Finance Adviser to the interim government Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today said that the Artha Rin Adalat would be activated more to expedite the pace for realizing classified loans or Non Performing Loans (NPLs).
He also informed that steps would be taken to dissolve speedily the writ petitions with the High Court in this regard.

The Finance Adviser was addressing a press conference at the Finance Ministry at Bangladesh Secretariat today.

He said that there are two separate benches in the High Court to deal with the writ petitions while he has already talked to the Attorney General of Bangladesh along with the Bangladesh Bank Governor so that these benches only deal with writ petitions in next three months.

Financial Institutions Division Secretary Nazma Mobarek said that steps would be very soon to restore trust and confidence fully among the clients of the banks.

Finance Division Secretary Dr Khairuzzaman Mozumder, NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan, and ERD Secretary Shahriar Kader Siddiky were present.
