DHAKA, Nov 25, 2024 (BSS) - Expatriate Bangladeshis sent around US$1.73 billion remittances during the first 23 days of November in the fiscal 2024-25.
Of this, remittances through state-owned and specialised banks accounted for $770.96 million, while private banks received $951.31 million, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data.
For the fiscal year 2024-25, July-October worker-remittance inflows stood at $8.937 billion, reflecting nearly a 30-percent increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
